HANSHI REY PEREZ
Chief Instructor
Hanshi Perez holds a 7th degree in Shuri Ryu Karate and 9th degree in Shinto Yoshin Kai Jiu-Jitsu (Menkyo Kaiden) and is Senior Chief Instructor under his teacher, Dr. Steven Roensch who heads the Shinto Yoshin Kai Jiu Jitsu System in the world today. Mr. Perez also serves as a Defense Tactics Instructor for the FBI, Municipal Law Enforcement, and Military Personnel. In addition, he is the Chief Instructor for American Shooto for Mixed Martial Arts fighters in both Club Fit in Cooper City, Florida and Iron Warriors Training Center in Hollywood, Florida. Inducted into AJKA Hall of Fame, 1991 Light Heavyweight Fighting World Champion USKAI, on the American Budokai International Board of Directors, Shinto Yoshin Kai Jiu Jitsu Chief Instructor, Named Instructor of the Year at 2008 Martial Arts International Symposium, named one of the top ten fighters by Karate Illustrated, trainer of Champion Kickboxers and Martial Arts Fighters.
SHIHAN JOHN VARNELL
Instructor
Shihan Varnell has been training in the Martial Arts for more than 42 years. He is a 6th Dan in Shuri-Ryu Karate and a 4th Dan in Shintoyoshin-Kai Jiu-Jitsu. He is a direct student of late Master John Pachivas having trained with him from 1980 to 1997. Shihan Varnell is the Senior Instructor for the South Florida Academy of Martial Arts currently owned and operated by Professor Rey Perez.
RENSHI ANDREW COVE
Instructor
Renshi Cove has been practicing martial arts for over 25 years. He is a Godan (5th Dan) in Shuri-Ryu Karatedo and a Yondan (4th Dan) in Shintoyoshin-Kai Jiu-Jitsu. He has competed successfully in both karate and grappling tournaments, is a member of the American Budokai International ("ABI") and in 2007, he was selected for induction into the ABI's "honor society", the American Budokai Society. Renshi Cove has been a staff instructor at Iron Warriors Training Center since 2005, and teaches traditional karatedo and jiu-jitsu, as well as mixed martial arts and self-defense, to adults and children. He is married, has two children (who both practice martial arts), and operates a law firm in Fort Lauderdale.
COACH ERIC PEREZ
Mixed Martial Arts
Coach Perez is a 2nd degree black belt in Shuri-Ryu Karate and has 5 years experience coaching high school wrestling. His accolades include 3rd place in 2014 Florida State Wrestling Tournament and 1st place in 2018 NAGA Pan-American Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Outside of fighting, Perez aids his community as a firefighter/ paramedic for the city of Hollywood, Florida.
COACH RYAN SAVILLE

Coach Saville is a well rounded fighter, with 9 years of training in Karate, 2 years of Wing Chun, and 5 years training in Jiu Jitsu. His tenure with Iron Warriors spans the last two years. Saville has competed in kickboxing, jiu jitsu, and Mixed Martial Arts.
